In listening to your podcasts and reading your books I have come to the conclusion that you take a very nuanced view of scripture. You seem to posit that the Bible is mythologized history. That the various texts are written in ways similar to their time period and thus not necessarily all that unique, even having similar elements in them that non-biblical texts do. Yet somehow in all of that you still find enough truth to hold on to your faith. Why do you think Christianity has survived and to some extent at least there is truth about a force greater than humanity and creation when beyond blind faith, the Bible may not really be any more “real” than Egyptian or Greek mythologies. Is it possible that you accept those religions as true as well since as you mentioned in one of your books, that “God” seems to engage with other gods as the Israelites were not always monotheistic?
