The other day I was heard you in one of your podcast ask this question. I think that Jesus gives us the answer while on the cross. He says “it is finished”. What was finished? In Genesis 15 where God makes a covenant with Abram. It was a blood covenant where both members of the covenant were to walk between the carcasses with it signalling that if I break covenant with you may this be done to me. But in Geneses 15 only God went between the carcasses meaning that to God it did not matter who broke covenant, God would pay the price of it. I believe that this is what Jesus was referring to on the cross when he said it is finished. By fulfilling the requirements of the covenant Jesus was then able to make a new covenant.
So just how far out in left field am I with my take on it?
