In the thousands of years of Egyptian history, there is this one weird period, the reign of King Akhenaten (a.k.a. the Amarna Period) in which Egyptian art tells us that monotheism takes hold, and the Egyptian Pantheon is abandoned. It doesn’t last, but it’s a really weird period. It would be super convenient chronologically if that happened to coincide with Yahweh kicking the butts of the collective Egyptian pantheon. Any evidence of this?
