Hi guys, I’m wondering if you’d be willing to do a podcast (or several) on the theology of divorce, marriage, and premarital sex. This impacts many Christians and there is so much shame, guilt and judgment around divorce in particular in Christian circles. Pete mentioned at one point (if I understood it) that marriage in the ANE wasn’t a covenant like it is today. It was contractual and often political. And covenant had more to do with the act of sex. Re premarital sex, I’m unclear about that biblically but if it’s a serious no no, our youth (and probably most humans) are in trouble. Could you clarify these matters biblically? If we could better understand what Scripture tells us about God’s intent for these issues, and put them in theological perspective you could potentially relieve so many of their internal spiritual agony. Thank you!
