A one-night class focused on the biblical message about Jesus’s treatment of women in contrast with the church’s historical misogyny.

Dr. Jennifer Garcia Bashaw (Ph. D Fuller Theological Seminary) is an Assistant Professor of New Testament and Christian Ministry at Campbell University (Buies Creek, NC). She is an ordained minister in the American Baptist Churches, USA.
Her recent academic contributions include work on Girard and dystopian literature, empathetic imagination in preaching, and characterization in the Gospels.

Peter Enns (Ph.D. Harvard University) is Abram S. Clemens professor of Biblical Studies at Eastern University (St. Davids, PA). He has taught undergraduate, seminary, and doctoral courses at numerous other schools including Princeton Theological Seminary, Harvard Divinity School, and Temple University.
He is also the host of the popular podcast The Bible for Normal People, blogs at peteenns.com, and has written, edited, and contributed to over 20 books including The Sin of Certainty, The Bible Tells Me So, and How the Bible Actually Works.

A one-night class offering insights on how to read the Bible in a way that honors the unique and helpful perspective of people on the margins while also engaging in the best in biblical scholarship.

Dr. Miguel De La Torre (Ph.D. Temple University) is one of the most prolific contemporary Latinx religion scholars. Dr. De La Torre has authored several hundred articles and over thirty-two books. He presently serves as Professor of Social Ethics and Latinx Studies at Iliff School of Theology (Denver, CO).
The focus of Dr. Miguel A. De La Torre’s academic pursuit is social ethics within contemporary U.S. thought, specifically how religion affects race, class, and gender oppression.
